Reviews are in for the MCC production of Space Dogs, the new musical written by and starring Van Hughes (Burn All Night) and Nick Blaemire (Glory Days). The two-hander officially opened February 13 following previews that began January 25. The production has extended its run by one week through March 13.
Hughes and Blaemire add to their performances of human characters using an assortment of puppets, stuffed animals, and instruments to tell the story of Laika, a stray dog sent into space by a Russian scientist during the Cold War.
