The New Group celebrated the opening of Jerry Springer—The Opera February 22. The Olivier Award-winning musical comedy makes its Off-Broadway debut with a cast led by Terrence Mann as Jerry Springer and Will Swenson as Satan.
Directed by John Rando and choreographed by Chris Bailey, Jerry Springer plays in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Performances began January 23 and are scheduled to run through March 11.

Jerry Springer – The Opera premiered at the National Theatre in London, directed by Stewart Lee (April 29–September 30, 2003), and played on the West End at the Cambridge Theatre (October 14, 2003–February 19, 2005). The musical features a score by Richard Thomas, who also penned the book and lyrics with Stewart Lee.
The Off-Broadway production features set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, fight direction by Jacob Grigolia-Rosenbaum, sound design by Joshua D. Reid, projection design by Olivia Sebesky, orchestrations by Greg Anthony Rassen, and music direction by Michael Brennan.
