Pretty Woman: The Musical celebrated its 200th performance on Broadway on February 5. The production, featuring a score by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance and directed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, opened August 16, 2018, after beginning previews on July 20.

Based on the beloved 1990 film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman is a modern Cinderella story. A businessman (Andy Karl) hires an escort (Samantha Barks) to spend the weekend with him, but before long, the two learn that their connection goes beyond a simple transaction. The show features a book by the late Gary Marshall and J.F. Lawton, who together wrote the screenplay for the original film.
