CBS-TV's 60 Minutes news magazine program, which will run just before the Tony Awards broadcast June 12, is promising to show a special “director's cut” of the episode it did on the musical Hamilton earlier this season.
Hamilton is up for a record 16 Tony Awards that night.
60 Minutes is promising an enhanced version of the original broadcast “that’s nearly double the length of Charlie Rose’s original report first broadcast last November. The previously unseen additions include more of the interviews with Miranda, the cast, and more material and performance footage from the show.”
The encore broadcast will be shown at 7-8 PM ET/PT immediately before the 70th Annual Tony Awards.
