Our Lady J returns to Joe's Pub October 11 for an evening of comedy and original song. The writer behind Pose and Transparent is chronicling her experience as a trans director, writer, and producer in Hollywood at a tumultuous time for trans rights.
The former RuPaul's Drag Race star began her career traveling as a collaborative musician for Broadway and classical musical performances. She is one of the first openly trans women to perform at Carnegie Hall, and the first openly trans woman to be hired in a television writer's room.
The concert will begin at the Public Theater's cabaret venue at 9:30 PM.
