Full given name: Michael Lorenzo Urie
Hometown: Plano, TX
Audition song: "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" by Tom Lehr
Special skills: Balloon animals. Well, just dogs really. And snakes.
First Broadway show ever saw: Ragtime with the original cast, on a trip with my community college — I cried like a baby. Our teacher, Brad Baker, got us into 13 shows in 10 days.
If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? Vanessa Williams in Kiss of the Spider Woman; Terrence McNally told me she was so hot, people gasped when she entered. I gasp every time she comes on set at "Ugly Betty."
Current show you have been recommending to friends: Rock of Ages and Our Town
Favorite show tune: Bernadette singing "Not a Day Goes By"
MAC or PC? MAC MAC MAC since I was a kid and my dad brought home one of those tall skinny ones.
Most played song on your iPod: "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen
Last book you read: "Wolf at the Table" by Augusten Burroughs. It's great — I read it on vacation in two days, and I'm a slow reader.
Must-see TV show: "Wipeout," "Lost," "The Office," "Always Sunny…," "Sordid Lives"
Last good movie you saw: "Henry Fool" starring my genius co-star in The Temperamentals, Thomas Jay Ryan.
Favorite card game: Van Heusen. A genius card game invented by my friends Nicole Lowrance and Matt Schneck (who's also in Temperamentals)
Performer you would drop everything to go see: Manilow
Pop culture guilty pleasure: Manilow
First stage kiss: Manilow. Just kidding. Jessica Lee/Janelle Lyon (we had alternating Marias) in The Sound of Music in 10th grade. I was the Captain Von Trapp.
Favorite post-show meal: Lately eating anything before the show psychs me out, so I gorge myself afterwards.
How you got your Equity card: The Roaring Girl at The Foundry Theatre.
Worst flubbed line: At Juilliard, I played Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet; during the first big fight between the Montagues and the Capulets, Benvolio runs on to stop the fight shouting, "Part Fools, you know not what you do! Well, on opening night, I ran out and shouted, "Fart Pools, you know not what you do!"
Worst costume ever: When I had to dress like Betty for the Halloween episode of "Ugly Betty." Itchy wig and poncho.
Pet's name: Sprouts, my Brussels Griffon that Bernadette Peters introduced me to. You just can't say no to Bernadette Peters. It's impossible.
Favorite junk food: Gummi bears
Who would play you in the movie? Phylicia Rashad.
Worst job you ever had: Bowling party host at Plano Super Bowl.
TV or commercial gig you most enjoyed: I was in a Mohegan Sun commercial that shot at the Mohegan Sun Hotel/Casino in CT. I was taken there in a van and told I had a room at the hotel. When I went to the front desk, I was told that I actually had a room down the road at the Best Western. While, of all of the Westerns, it was probably the best, it's wasn't as snazzy as the Mohegan Sun. But, the shoot was great!
Leading man role you've been dying to play Berowne in Love's Labour's Lost.
Which Broadway musical would your "Ugly Betty" character be perfect for? Marc St. James as Franz in Rock of Ages. "I'm not gay, I'm German!"
