Polly Draper replaces Natasha Richardson as Anna, the photographer, in Patrick Marber's Closer June 15. Richardson's final performance was June 13.
Draper comes to Closer straight from the Drama Dept.'s double bill of Richard Greenberg's The Author's Voice and Peter Hedges' Imagining Brad, which closed two weeks ago. Outside of theatre appearances in pieces such as Four Dogs and a Bone and the ill-fated Crazy He Calls Me, Draper is best known for her Emmy nominated role of Ellyn on TV's "thirtysomething."
Richardson's co-stars Rupert Graves, Anna Friel and Ciaran Hinds will remain with the show.
Nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play, Closer opened March 25, 1999 at the Music Box Theatre. The show was selected as Best Foreign Play by the New York Drama Critics Circle.
