On December 16, a crowd of fans, friends, and longtime supporters gathered at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre for a special TheatreWorks Silicon Valley concert to commemorate Andrew Lippa's 60th birthday.
Featuring songs from his career (including The Addams Family, Big Fish, and The Wild Party), the debut of multiple never-before-heard compositions, and numerous memories in between, Lippsa spoke about how TheatreWorks Silicon Valley has had an impact on his career, and how the company's early support helped him become a successful composer.
During the concert, he was joined onstage by the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, performers Molly Bell and Robert Brewer, and his husband Tom Regouski on woodwinds, with TheatreWorks Music Director William Liberatore on the piano.
Actor Sophie Oda, who is currently performing in TheatreWorks' production of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, serenaded Lippa at the after party, performing from Lippa's A Little Princess, which she performed in at TheatreWorks as a child. Check out photos from the festivities below.
