All packed up and ready for travel day Mondays! Detroit to Boston!

Me and Matt DeAngelis waiting for the bus.

The Idiots unloading at the airport.
Krystina Alabado
It's so early, we're the only ones checking in!
Krystina Alabado
First thing to do when you get to the theatre: find the callboard and sign in.
Gabby, Talia, and Leslie signing posters at the theatre.

This is where all the magic happens backstage. We each have a chair with all of our costumes preset on top. So when a song ends, run to your chair, rip off your clothes, put on your next costume and run your butt back onstage!
Krystina Alabado
This is my station. 12 costume changes, 2 pairs of knee pads, 5 pairs of shoes and my very best friend in the world: my water bottle.
Krystina Alabado
The beautiful the Boston Opera House!
Krystina Alabado
We soundcheck on Tuesday in every new city. This is what we call "line check," where we all stand in a line (ha!) and individually check our mics.
Krystina Alabado
The bathroom on the set used to be blank. Christine Jones, our set designer, gave us sharpies and said to draw and write whatever we wanted!
Krystina Alabado
Me and Nicci Claspell double checking our hair and makeup for the show.
Krystina Alabado
Talia, Gabby, and I all dressed and ready for top of show!
Krystina Alabado
Can't do the show without meeting up for the "F*** Time" ritual!
Krystina Alabado
A ritual from the Broadway show, but a little different... "1-2-3-4 Sh** motherf***er. Motherf**ker Goddamn!"
Krystina Alabado
Boston was a great city with so many guests! My boyfriend Matt came to visit!
Krystina Alabado
So did my brother and sister Alec and Julianna.
Krystina Alabado
A bunch of Spring Awakening 1st National Tour alumni! Here we all are with the director of both shows, Michael Mayer!
Krystina Alabado
I got to go on for Whatsername for the first time ever in Detroit. This is what we check on the board when we get to the theatre to see who is out and in.
Krystina Alabado
It was a total blast going on since I didn't get the chance during my time in the show on Broadway! I was ready to rock and had the best day. And I got a sweet pink dreadlock!
Krystina Alabado
Next city: Raleigh, NC! First thing we do on Mondays in a new city: grocery shopping. We always seem to intrigue the locals, especially when Vince fights Scott with a miniature shopping cart.
Krystina Alabado
Grant, our incredible drummer, relaxes at our cast outing to this beautiful lake in Raleigh.
Krystina Alabado
Getting some outdoors time in the sun is always a treat. And a picnic on top of that...
Krystina Alabado
Me and Nicci catching some sun at the lake before the show. What a nice break from winter, being in the south!
Krystina Alabado
Winne McDonel (Leslie and Van's dog) travels with us everywhere we go. She is quite a personality.
Krystina Alabado
Alon warming up before the show starts. He gets to sit on the moving staircase and ride it the whole show.
Krystina Alabado
Everyone's warm-up routine is different, but essential to get through our crazy show! Here's Gabe being super strong and doing push-ups before places.
Krystina Alabado
Looking so American in our opening costumes.
Krystina Alabado
Jake Epstein and Kelvin Moon Loh picking on Jen Bowles as usual.
Krystina Alabado
Larkin, Josh and Vince at places. Thanks for ruining the picture, Scott...
Krystina Alabado
Jen Bowles gets to wear a monster on her head for "Rebel." Lucky.

Next flight is Raleigh to Chicago! We have themed it "Elegant Lady Travel Day." All the Idiot ladies dressed up and spoke and walked like elegant ladies through the airport. Best travel day ever.
Krystina Alabado
Just reading, as elegant ladies do, on our flight. We caused quite a stir that day at the airport.
Krystina Alabado
Sound-checking at the beautiful Oriental Theatre in Chicago.
Krystina Alabado
Chicago was quite a city for me! I had the privilege of opening and closing the city as Extraordinary Girl! Flying in front of an audience for the first time was the most thrilling feeling!
Krystina Alabado
Press event for WGN Chicago! Kelvin posing like a fierce diva.
Krystina Alabado
Broadway Idiot alums pose for a picture in the studio! Jared Stein, Joshua Kobak, Leslie McDonel, Van Hughes, me, Omar Lopez-Cepero and Jennifer Bowles.
Krystina Alabado
Jen and Gabe are always fighting... even during press events...
Krystina Alabado
Waiting to go on TV... so naturally our manly men are wrestling.
Krystina Alabado
Van playing the opening of our performance in Chicago.
Krystina Alabado
It's Valentine's Day on the road, which means a lady day at the spa!
Krystina Alabado
Idiot ballet class led by Jen Bowles. Our hotel here in Minneapolis happens to have a dance studio!
Krystina Alabado
We ended class learning and performing a combo from A Chorus Line. One of the best days on tour yet!
Krystina Alabado
Thanks for checking out my pictures! Hope to see you guys at the show in a city near you!! Rage and LOVE, Krystina :)
Conceived and directed by Michael Mayer, who co-wrote the book with Green Day frontman/songwriter Billie Joe Armstrong, the musical borrows songs from the Grammy Award-winning rock album by Green Day to tell the story of three suburban slackers (Johnny, Will and Tunny) who take separate paths in post-9/11 America. Visit www.americanidiotthemusical.com.
Van Hughes, the standby for the trio of buddy roles in the Broadway run of the musical, plays Johnny, also known as Jesus of Suburbia. Hughes (Broadway's 9 to 5 and Hairspray, Off-Broadway's Saved) played Johnny at the conclusion of American Idiot's Broadway run. The show closed at the St. James Theatre April 24, 2011, following 422 performances. It was nominated for a 2010 Tony Award for Best Musical, and won Tonys for Lighting Design (Kevin Adams) and Scenic Design (Christine Jones).
American Idiot's music is by Green Day, with lyrics by Armstrong, who stepped into the dark-force role of St. Jimmy for several scattered weeks of the Broadway run.
The Broadway cast album of American Idiot won the 2010 Grammy Award winner for Best Musical Show Album.
Tony Award winner Mayer (Spring Awakening) has had hands full this fall: He also directed a revised revival of the musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, starring Harry Connick Jr., on Broadway, at the St. James.
American Idiot is choreographed by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett (Black Watch, Once) with music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal). The tour features Tony-winning scenic design by Jones and Tony-winning lighting design by Adams.
The creative team also includes costume design by Andrea Lauer, sound design by Brian Ronan, video and projections design by Darrel Maloney, music direction by Jared Stein, associate choreography by Lorin Latarro and associate direction by Johanna McKeon.
The musical features the hits "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," "Holiday" and the title track from the 2004 "American Idiot" album. As on Broadway, the score also includes several songs from Green Day's Grammy Award-winning 2009 release "21st Century Breakdown," including "21 Guns" and an unreleased love song, "When It's Time."
