My wonderful fiance, "Chef" Tim, made pancakes for a li'l Saturday morning breakfast treat. Sometimes he gets fancy and makes them in fun shapes. Ooh la la!!
Autumn Hurlbert
My puppy, Cricket, is giving us the "Why are we awake before noon?" squinty eyes.
Autumn Hurlbert
Cricket wants pancakes. And syrup. And... anything else we ever eat. Tim is taunting her and I really thought she'd try to take the food right out of his mouth. Whoa, puppy!
Autumn Hurlbert
Off to om-shanti-shanti-namaste it out at yoga. I try to do it every day. "Try" is the key word.
Autumn Hurlbert
After yoga, it was time for a Cricket bath! She's a pretty good sport during the bath, but she was really mad at me afterward!! It's okay, we made up over a milk bone and some fetch.

Working out a little melody line at the piano for one the songs I'm singing in a concert this weekend. And yes... I have a WALL of shoes. What?! Don't you???

We have the most amazing murals in the archways of the Amtrak bridge. They just finished this one... a tribute for our Greek neighborhood.
Autumn Hurlbert
My fiance Tim and I live off the last stop on the N/Q train in Astoria, Queens. We LOVE our 'hood! Yeah, "Act"oria!
Autumn Hurlbert
Can you see the city skyline waaaaay back there in the background? It actually only takes my 10-15 minutes to get into the city once the train gets chugging along.
Autumn Hurlbert
I had a lot to do this morning! So... I am cheating and putting my makeup on during the train ride. With the bumps on the ride sometimes eyeliner and mascara end up looking..."creative."
Autumn Hurlbert
Gee, thanks, MTA. I didn't realize it was FREEZING. At the end of March. Beyond ready for flip flops and sundresses!
Autumn Hurlbert
Oh, look... Bloomingdales! Maybe I can just stop in for a second and get some aforementioned flip flops and sundresses. Just for a second...
Autumn Hurlbert
Down the stairs to the York Theatre!! Can you see those (Off) Broadway lights in the sign?? :-)
Autumn Hurlbert
The MOST important item at my dressing station. Girl. Scout. Cookies.
Autumn Hurlbert
Mary Mossberg's very organized makeup station.
Autumn Hurlbert
Aaaaand... my makeup station. Oops. Somebody needs to "spring" clean.

The boys get ready for the show. Sorry, the MEN pump iron up for the gig.
D.B. Bonds multi-tasks. Working out that fine physique while brushing up those pearly whites. He's very talented.
Autumn Hurlbert
Our backstage costumes waiting for us to put them on. They are very patient.
Autumn Hurlbert
Surprise!! We're done with show #1!! Matty's going for a run and D.B.'s goin' shoppin'.

Made it!! About to rehearse at The Maravel Arts Center where Steven Jamail is the music supervisor for Rosie's Theater Kids.
Autumn Hurlbert
Now for a quick trip home to snuggle with Tim and watch some college basketball and "30 Rock" while munching on a sushi dinner.

I hit so much traffic (trying to get to my rehearsal for the benefit concert I am singing in after Monday's show) that I just hopped out of the cab and walked. My short little legs actually move pretty fast.
Autumn Hurlbert
Steven Jamail, Ryann Ferguson and Mayzie Drake's beautiful song!!! I love singing this and can't wait to perform it with Steven on Monday night! Now, sssshhhh! We have to practice!!
Autumn Hurlbert
Back to the York for Round 2!! The building facade looks beautiful at dusk. Aaaaah.

We all got a little something from company management for our journey through previews. Matt looks cute with presents. You should send him some more.
Autumn Hurlbert
D.B. is just looking over some notes from the director and writer before half-hour call.
Autumn Hurlbert
D.B. cannot handle the after-dinner sexiness of Matt "Thor" Hydzik in the door way. Sarah Butke just puts up with it.
Autumn Hurlbert
D.B. bought his wife, Shannon, a fancy present for opening night of How To Succeed.... Lucky lady!!
Autumn Hurlbert
Mary is looking over her notes, too. Who got more?
Autumn Hurlbert
A little pre-show huddle. We have themes for each show. This was "suck my diction" night.
Autumn Hurlbert
MY present! I look really cute with presents, too. You should send me more. More than Matt.
Autumn Hurlbert
Matt has to write a post-it note that says "thanks for the sex" for a scene in the show. He gets creative.
Autumn Hurlbert
Pretty Mary, getting all dolled up for the show. She looks like a classic movie star. Tomorrow Morning in technicolor!
Autumn Hurlbert
Our shows are done for the day and our wonderful assistant stage manager Sarah Hall is leaving us! I am sad. And she, apparently, can't wait to go!! Happy trails to you...
Come see us at the York! We're here through April 23.
Hurlbert was the runner-up on the reality competition series "Legally Blonde - The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods," eventually joining the Broadway cast. Other credits include Beth March in the first national tour of Little Women, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Eponine in Les Misérables, Button in Giants and the Mistress in Evita.
* With book, lyrics and music by Laurence Mark Wythe, Tomorrow Morning is billed this way: "Tomorrow Morning is a warmly sophisticated new musical about the coupling and uncoupling of relationships. Witty, moving and emotionally complex, Tomorrow Morning speaks to anyone who has ever fallen in or out of love." The work has previously been seen in London and Chicago.
The cast comprises D.B. Bonds (The Phantom of the Opera), Autumn Hurlbert (Legally Blonde), Matthew Hydzik (West Side Story) and Mary Mossberg (Mamma Mia! national tour).
Tomorrow Morning won Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Musical in 2009. A Chicago cast album preserves the score. Visit www.tomorrowmorningthemusical.com.
In the show, two couples are separated by time, "yet bound together by the uncertainty of impending change and the ultimately redeeming power of love," according to earlier production notes in Chicago.
The limited Off-Broadway engagement will play to April 23 at The Theatre at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street).
Visit www.yorktheatre.org for the complete performance schedule. Tickets are $67.50 and are available online at www.yorktheatre.org, by calling (212) 935-5820, or in person at the box office at the York Theatre at Saint Peter's.
