Aida's Sherie Rene Scott, a vet of John Kander and Fred Ebb's Over and Over, fell into a Chicago reunion of sorts - 2000 Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba played Roxie Hart, while Kiss Me, Kate's Michael Barresse and Joel Grey were both original company members of the currently running revival.
The Oscar Hammerstein Award commemorates lifetime achievement in the musical theatre and was created in 1988 by York founding artistic director Janet Hayes Walker.
