The acclaimed actress, who was seen on Broadway in the recent revival of Annie, plays the intimate Manhattan venue June 18-19 at 7 PM and June 20-21 at 8 PM.
“I don’t think anything makes me happier than singing, and I’m not a great singer,” Lynch recently said in an interview on "CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood." “I’m not like, ‘Whooo!’ But it just fills me with such joy. It like massages my soul. Music transcends me.”
Lynch also admitted that she was nervous about her four-night run at the Manhattan nightspot. “I think I’m appropriately nervous,” Lynch explained. “It’s one of those things that it shows up, you kind of put it out in the universe, if you will, and it shows up and, as much as my insides were screaming ‘no,’ I said, ‘Yes, I’ll do it.’”
Lynch began her theatrical career and developed her comic skills at The Second City, Steppenwolf Theatre and in many church basements all over the greater Chicago-land area. In addition to "Glee," her TV credits include "Desperate Housewives" and "Weeds," as well as the final season of "The L Word" opposite Cybill Shepherd. She has had recurring roles on "Two and a Half Men," where she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress, "Criminal Minds" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine." Lynch's many film credits include "Julie & Julia," "For Your Consideration," "A Mighty Wind," "Best in Show," "Talladega Nights," "The 40 Year Old Virgin," "Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events" and more.
