The 3 PM tribute was held at the American Airlines Theatre with an all-star line-up of participants that includes Christine Andreas, Harry Belafonte, Arlene Dahl, Raúl Esparza, Michael Feinstein, Gregory Harrison, Judith Ivey, Chris Matthews and cast members from the 2001 revival of Follies.
John Waters, Mark Hamill and Chris Colfer also made special video tributes.
Bergen, who passed away last September at age 84, had a career that spanned more than six decades in films, TV, Broadway musicals and concerts. She earned a Tony nomination for her performance as Carlotta in a revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies. Her other Broadway credits included Cabaret and Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks.
She also received Emmy Award nominations for her work in TV's "Desperate Housewives," "Playhouse 90," "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance," and also starred in feature films such as the classic "Cape Fear."
