Directed by Bill Castellino, with choreography by Josh Bergasse, performances are scheduled to continue at the Massachusetts venue through July 24.
Crum is joined by Andrea Goss (as Jane Porter), Eric Collins (Clayton), Todd Alan Johnson (Kerchak), Christopher Messina (Terk), Robyn Payne (Kala) and Jay Russell (Professor Porter) with Matthew Bauman, Kristine Bendul, Ven Daniel, Jessica Dillan, Gregory Haney, Sarah Marie Hicks, David Jiles, Olivia Miller, Vasthy Mompoint, Alex Newell, Marcus Shane and Drew J. Shuler. Two local children are also included in the cast: Gloucester resident Giacomo Favazza as Young Tarzan and Lowell resident Sebastian Hoffman in the ensemble.

Based on the popular 1999 Disney film and the classic story by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Tarzan features music and lyrics by Phil Collins and a book by David Henry Hwang.
The North Shore production features the debut of a new 14-piece orchestration for the musical. Librettist Hwang also worked through rehearsals to revise the book.
"This classic tale unfolds in early 1900s as a shipwreck leaves an infant orphaned on the West African shore," according to North Shore. "The helpless baby is taken under the protection of a gorilla tribe and becomes part of their family. When he eventually encounters his first human, Jane Porter, both of their worlds transform forever."
