The 1973 production of The Changing Room marked Lithgow's Broadway debut, winning him a Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play.
He has since played over 20 roles on Broadway, earning additional Tony nominations for Requiem for a Heavyweight, M. Butterfly and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Playbill raises the curtain for Broadway's brightest born in May, including 2024 Tony nominees for Best Original Score and Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
