Composer Matias, who served as music director and conductor of Natasha, Pierre, will present all original material, including selections from his upcoming musical The Wave.
Based on a true story, The Wave is described as such: "In 1967, a history teacher in Palo Alto turned an entire high school into a proto-fascist movement in just five days. While trying to demonstrate the national mentality in Germany during WWII, Ron Jones conduced an experiment which was to show how community and discipline can create something that is bigger than the individual, often with disastrous effects. He called it 'The Wave.'"
Guest artists at the 9:30 PM concert also include Chloe Lowery, Catherine Brookman and Luke Holloway.
Matias has worked with artists such as Rachael Yamagata, Amadeus Leopold, The Trans Siberian Orchestra, Peter Cincotti and others.
