In the printed version of the interview, LuPone hinted that she is at work on a second edition of her life story. "There could be a Part 2," she said. "I'm not dead yet. There's the title: 'I'm Not Dead Yet.'"
LuPone, who won Tony Awards for Gypsy and Evita, has also appeared in the world premieres of Sunset Boulevard and Les Miserables, as well as productions of Anything Goes, Oliver!, Working, The Old Neighborhood, Master Class, The Cradle Will Rock, Sweeney Todd and Pal Joey.
"Patti LuPone: A Memoir" will be released Sept. 14. Women on the Verge will begin performances Oct. 2 at the Belasco Theatre.
