Company XIV's Cinderella is described as a "sensual and erotic" re-imagining, based on the fairy tale by Charles Perrault. The show fuses nightlife and theatre for this contemporary staging of the classic story. Performances begin Sept. 22, with an official opening night slated for Sept. 30. The cast for Cinderella includes Hilly Bodin, Katrina Cunningham, Lea Helle, Jakob Karr, Nicholas Katen, Malik Kitchen, Mark Osmundsen, Davon Rainey, Marcy Richardson, Steven Trumon Gray, Allison Ulrich and Brett Umlauf.
The adult-only season will also feature a revival of the company's holiday show Nutcracker Rouge, playing Nov. 24-Jan. 17, 2016, and the world premiere of Snow White, debuting in January for a seven-week engagement.
All three productions are conceived, directed and choreographed by Drama Desk Award nominee and the company's artistic director, Austin McCormick, and will be presented at the downtown Minetta Lane Theatre Off-Broadway.
