NT Live has announced three productions slated for live broadcast in cinemas worldwide this fall, beginning with The Bridge Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, starring Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie on October 17.
Christie stars as Titania, alongside Oliver Chris (Green Wing) as Oberon, David Moorst (Allelujah!) as Puck, and Hammed Animashaun (The Festival) as Bottom. Bridge Theatre co-founder Nicholas Hytner directs.
Also heading to cinemas on November 7 is the National Theatre premiere of Simon Woods’ political drama Hansard, starring Olivier Award winners Lindsay Duncan and Alex Jennings as a high profile political couple engaged in tense a battle of their own at home.
The final broadcast will be the Old Vic production of Noël Coward’s Present Laughter, featuring Fleabag star Andrew Scott. Matthew Warchus directs.
