News Norm Lewis Offers Holiday Concerts in NYC, Starting Tonight Tony-nominated singing actor Norm Lewis, most recently on Broadway as the first African-American The Phantom of the Opera, offers holiday concerts at Feinstein's/54 Below beginning Dec. 20.

Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander with musical direction by Joseph Joubert, performances of Norm Lewis Wishes You a Swinging' Christmas are scheduled for Dec. 20-24 at 9:30 PM. The evenings also feature special guests: Julie James (Dec. 20), Nick Canellakis (Dec. 22), Bobby Lewis (Dec. 23) and Alicia Bagley (Dec. 24).

Norm Lewis Wishes You a Swingin’ Christmas, according to press notes, "is an all-new show that will help you ring in the holidays and remind you why he is one of Broadway’s greatest singers and most sought-after leading men. Norm and his swingin’ band put a mark on holiday classics, sing some of the songs he is famous for, and surprise you with some you would never expect to hear him sing."

Lewis said in an earlier statement, "To be in the heart of Manhattan at this time of year and share the holidays with an audience is something I’ve always dreamed of doing. It’s like having your own TV Christmas Special…Only LIVE! I am really looking forward to it and we’ve already started rehearsing …so I’m ready for some surprises. I also plan on inviting some SPECIAL GUESTS to join me for each of the nights."

Lewis was Tony-nominated for his performance opposite Audra McDonald in the Broadway revival of Porgy and Bess.
