Maine's Ogunquit Playhouse has revealed full casting for its upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music, which will star stage and screen favorite Kathleen Turner as Madame Armfeldt as previously announced. Performances will run July 18-August 17, with Hunter Foster at the helm.

Newly announced in the cast are Julia Murney (Wicked) as Desiree Armfeldt, Lora Lee Gayer (Holiday Inn) as Countess Charlotte, Mike McGowan (The Book of Mormon) as Fredrik Egerman, Lauren Maria Medina (West Side Story) as Anne Egerman, Lily Philbrook as Fredrika, Mike Schwitter (Pippin) as Frid, Steven Telsey (Harmony) as Henrik Egerman, Nik Walker (Hamilton) as Count Carl-Magnus, and Gianna Yanelli as Petra.

Set to play the Liebeslieders are Jennifer Allen as Mrs. Segstrom, Colin Anderson as Mr. Erlanson, Lianne Marie Dobbs as Mrs. Anderson, Michael Halling as Mr. Lindquist, and Lillie Langston as Mrs. Nordstrom. Understudy Scarlett Thomas and swings Whitney Daniels, Chad Marge, and Francesca Mehrotra will round out the company. Casting is by ARC's Mark Brandon and Jarrett Reiche.

Adapted from the Ingmar Bergman-directed and written film Smiles of a Summer Night, A Little Night Music features a book by Wheeler and a score by Sondheim. The story follows three sets of seemingly mismatched lovers, each feeling restless in their current relationship.

Sondheim’s Tony-winning score is probably best known for “Send in the Clowns,” which became an unlikely radio hit after the show premiered on Broadway in 1973. The score also includes “Every Day a Little Death,” “A Weekend in the Country,” and “The Miller’s Son.”

Ogunquit's A Little Night Music will feature choreography by Shannon Lewis, music direction by Jeffrey Campos, scenic design by Riw Rakkulchon, lighting design by Richard Latta, costume design by Hunter Kaczorowski, sound design by Daniel Lundberg, and wig design by Roxanne De Luna. Devin Day is serving as production stage manager, with Emma Power as assistant stage manager.

This production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
