Off-Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop has revealed its 2050 Administrative Fellowship for 2023—2024. The theatre company also announced that Lawryn LaCroix will join as The Theatre Leadership Project Creative Producing Fellow.
The 2050 Administrative Fellowship program, which replaces the internship program, is a sister fellowship to NYTW’s 2050 Artistic Fellowship, which supports emerging playwrights and directors. The Administrative Fellowship supports those aspiring to work in theatre administration; alumni of the program have gone on to work at organizations such as MCC Theater, Playwrights Horizons, The Drama League, and more.
This year's 2050 Administrative Fellows—named in celebration of the U.S. Census Bureau’s projection that by the year 2050, there will be no single racial or ethnic majority in the United States—are Nia Abdullah, Daniel Davila, Yulidal Hernandez Kin, Amiah McGinty, Maya Quiñones, Patrick Saint Ange, Corey Bravo Sloan, and Sammy Womack.
Founded in 2020, The Theatre Leadership Project works to counteract the systematic exclusion of Black professionals in the theatre industry by creating pathways to employment at the highest levels.
