The New York City Gay Men's Chorus' annual benefit The Harmony Gala is honoring Chita Rivera and Robin de Jesús this year, as well as the not-for-profit The Ali Forney Center. Telly Leung is hosting the event, held at the Edison Ballroom February 19 at 6 PM.

Rivera will be honored posthumously with the Icon Award for her trailblazing stage career as one of Broadway's true legends. De Jesús will receive the Arts in Action Award, and The Ali Forney Center will be recognized with the Call to Action Award.

Sponsored by Brand G Vacations and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the evening will kick off with a cocktail hour and a silent auction. After dinner has been offered, performers will take to the stage, including Solea Pfeiffer, the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, the Youth Pride Chorus, and a closing set by Tony Award winner Matt Doyle. Board chairman Troy Blackwell and executive director John D Carrion will give key remarks from the stage.

"We are filled with profound excitement and gratitude to be gathering at this critical juncture. With over 411 anti-LGBTQ bills introduced in state legislatures across the U.S., many of which target our LGBTQIA+ youth, the need for solidarity and support has never been greater,” said chairman Troy Blackwell in a statement. “This benefit serves as a beacon of hope.”
