Uptown theatre, dance and music fans have a new source of discount tickets.
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has partnered with the Theatre Development Fund to open a special three-month pop-up TKTS booth at the David Rubenstein Atrium’s Zucker box office at Broadway and West 62nd Street starting August 2 at noon.
The Zucker box office already offers discount tickets to shows and concerts at Lincoln Center. Starting August 2 it will also offer discounted tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. It will offer the same selection as the other TKTS locations in Times Square (pictured), South Street Seaport and Downtown Brooklyn.
TKTS at Lincoln Center is open Tuesdays–Saturdays from noon to 7 PM. Same-day tickets will be sold for all available evening performances. Matinee tickets will be sold the day before the performance in addition to the day of the performance. TKTS discount tickets are mostly 50 percent off and have a per-ticket service charge of $4.50. Week-of tickets will still be available for Lincoln Center’s performances.
“Expanding access to the arts is very important to Lincoln Center,” said Tom Dunn, senior director, Concert Halls and Operations. “Partnering with TKTS for this new pop-up residency will give more people the opportunity to experience New York City’s bounty of cultural offerings.”
