The national tour of the Tony-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, which launched in September 2018 in Denver, plays its final performance July 2 in Columbia, South Carolina, at the Koger Center.

The touring production played 104 engagements. Ben Levi Ross opened the tour in the title role.

The company is currently headed by Anthony Norman as Evan Hansen, Coleen Sexton as Heidi Hansen, Alaina Anderson as Zoe Murphy, Lili Thomas as Cynthia Murphy, August Emerson as Connor Murphy, John Hemphill as Larry Murphy, Pablo David Laucerica as Jared Kleinman, and Micaela Lamas as Alana Beck.

Jeffrey Cornelius is the Evan alternate with understudies Valeria Ceballos, Ian Coursey, Reese Sebastian, Gillian Jackson Han, Daniel Sullivan, Keely Vasquez, Kelsey Venter, and Pierce Wheeler.

Dear Evan Hansen opened on Broadway in December 2016, going on to win six 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. A film version, starring original Evan Hansen, Tony winner Ben Platt, opened in theatres nationwide September 24, 2021, and is available on demand.

The Broadway production played its final performance at the Music Box Theatre September 18, 2022. Dear Evan Hansen ended its run at London's Noël Coward Theatre October 22, 2022, nearly three years after its West End premiere on October 29, 2019.

Dear Evan Hansen features a score by the Tony- and Oscar-winning songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dogfight, A Christmas Story), a book by Tony winner Steven Levenson (tick, tick...BOOM! movie), choreography by Danny Mefford (Fun Home), and direction by multiple Tony nominee Michael Greif (Rent, Next to Normal, If/Then).

The musical also features scenic design by David Korins, projection design by Peter Nigrini, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and hair design by David Brian Brown. Music supervision, orchestrations, and additional arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire. Ben Cohn is the associate music supervisor. Vocal arrangements and additional arrangements are by Justin Paul. Casting is by Tara Rubin Casting's Kevin Metzger-Timson.
