Broadway star Nathan Lane will stop by "The Rosie O'Donnell" show on Wed., Jan. 6, 1999. Playbill On-Line recently reported that Lane and Victor Garber will be starring in the new Stephen Sondheim musical Wise Guys. The show may reach Broadway this fall, with Sam Mendes directing.

Lane's theatre credits include Mizlansky/Zilinsky, Guys and Dolls and Love! Valour! Compassion.

Meanwhile, Broadway legend Gwen Verdon will appear on the same Jan. 7 edition of "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" on which the upcoming musical Fosse will perform a number. Fosse celebrates the work of the late great Broadway choreographer and Verdon's former husband, Bob Fosse. Verdon appeared in such Fosse production as Sweet Charity and Chicago.

Fosse is currently in previews at the Broadhurst Theatre and is set to open Jan. 14, 1999. It could not be learned at press time what number would be performed.

O'Donnell is famous for inviting theatre talents onto her show. O'Donnell's show airs in New York on channel 7 at 10 AM. Check local listing for times and stations.
