Directed by ensemble member Jonathan Berry, the boxing drama features Nate Santana in the title role. The ensemble cast of 15 includes Jerry Bloom, David Cady Jr., John Connolly, Laura Lapidus, Jason Lindner, Morgan Maher, Niall McGinty, Connor McNamara, Johnny Moran, Nina O'Keefe, Paul Popp, Mark Pracht, David Prete and Norm Woodel.
Odets' 1937 play about a young musician who takes a gamble on his own artistic dreams when he enters the boxing ring was adapted into a 1939 film of the same name and served as the inspiration for a 1964 musical. It was most recently revived on Broadway in 2012, starring Seth Numrich and Yvonne Strahovski, and garnered eight Tony Award nominations.
