Billed as a heady mix of salsa and homicide, Murderous Instincts will reach London after hoofing its way from Peurto Rico via the rather less exotic Norwich, where the show is due to end a short run on Sept. 4. The musical comedy features choreography by Puerto Rican dancer Jhesus Aponte, who won last year's World Salsa Open championship. Puerto Rican composer Alberto Carrion has provided a score to accompany book and lyrics by documentary maker Cinda Fox.
The story is about a family feud over an inheritance. At stake is the deceased patriarch's palatial Peurto Rican estate.
The cast includes West End regulars Nichola McAuliffe (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Kevin Colson (Aspects of Love). The show is directed by Bob Carlton, who is best known for the Olivier Award-winning musical spoof Return to the Forbidden Planet.
