Manhattan Theatre Club's annual Spring Gala will take place May 23 honoring former MTC Board of Directors member Bobbie Olsen. The event will feature performances by the casts of Company, Girl From the North Country, MJ the Musical, Mrs. Doubtfire, Paradise Square, Six: The Musical, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and more.
The gala will include an evening of cocktails, dinner, and performances with proceeds supporting the non-profit theatre company's mission to develop and produce contemporary plays on and off-Broadway as well as its renowned education program. Honoree Olsen supported MTC Education and has also made a 20-year commitment to fund numerous play commissions and artistic development initiatives.
Gala co-chairs include Marie T. Gallagher, SVP and Controller of PepsiCo, and Thomas F. Secunda, Founding Partner at Bloomberg. The Music Director of the evening will be Jason Michael Webb and sound design will be Leon Rothenberg.
MTC's current line-up includes How I Learned to Drive and Golden Shield, with productions Cost of Living and Where the Mountain Meets the Sea set for the fall.
