The largest-ever staging of Michael Abbensetts' Alterations plays London's National Theatre beginning February 20 prior to an official opening February 27.

Directed by Lynette Linton, the era-defining comedy will be seen in the Lyttelton through April 5. Watch a trailer for the production in the video above.

The cast features Arinzé Kene (Get Up, Stand Up: The Bob Marley Story) as Walker Holt, Cherrelle Skeete (Hanna) as Darlene Holt, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr as Buster, Karl Collins (Nine Night) as Horace, Raphel Famotibe (Wonder Boy) as Courtney, and Colin Mace (War Horse) as Mr. Nat with ensemble members and understudies Tyler Fayose (Phoenix Rise), Richard Emerson Gould (The Vaudevillians), Joshua John (Romeo & Juliet), Samuel Nunes de Souza (The Prince and the Pauper), and Yolanda Ovide (Slave: A Question of Freedom).

Alterations illuminates the Guyanese experience of 1970s London, with additional material by Trish Cooke. The 1978 play follows Walker Holt, who has big dreams for his tailor’s shop and an even bigger order to complete. Over the course of 24 hours, he must work tirelessly to satisfy his new client’s impossible tailoring needs.

The production also has set and costume design by Frankie Bradshaw; lighting design by Oliver Fenwick; movement direction by Shelley Maxwell; music by composer XANA; sound design by George Dennis; wigs, hair, and makeup design by Cynthia De La Rosa; fight direction by Kate Waters; dramatherapy by Wabriya King, vocal and dialect coaching by Hazel Holder; staff direction by Kaleya Bax, and casting by Alastair Coomer and Naomi Downham.
