A memorial service for Alan Wasser, the veteran Broadway general manager who died April 14 at the age of 70, will be held at the Majestic Theatre, 245 West 44th Street, May 20.
The 2:30 PM service is open to the public; doors will open at 2 PM. As previously reported, three Broadway theatres significant in Mr. Wasser’s career—The Majestic, The Marquis, and The St. James—will dim their lights that evening at 6:45 PM.
In a Broadway career spanning five decades, Wasser and his company, Alan Wasser Associates, general managed three of the most successful productions of all time: Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, and Miss Saigon.
