South Pacific Tony winner Szot will be joined by Broadway and "Smash" star Megan Hilty and three-time Tony nominee Marin Mazzie. Tony winner Ted Sperling will conduct the orchestra.
The 7:30 PM concert will feature songs and duets by Ibert and Jobim; selections from theatrical hits by Lerner & Loewe, including highlights from My Fair Lady and Camelot; and the evening’s title song, “Some Enchanted Evening,” from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific.
“I am thrilled to return to the New York Philharmonic with this very special concert,” said Szot in a statement. “We have planned an evening of some of my favorite music from many different genres: from Broadway to Brazilian to classical. I hope you will enjoy this music as much as I know I will enjoy performing it for you.”
