Atlantic Theater Company's world premiere of the new musical The Bedwetter will begin previews April 30 prior to an official opening May 23 at Off-Broadway's Linda Gross Theater.
The cast will feature Caissie Levy (Caroline, or Change, Frozen), Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago), Ashley Blanchet (Waitress), Rick Crom (HBO’s Divorce), Zoe Glick (Frozen), Darren Goldstein (The Little Foxes), and Ellyn Marie Marsh (The Rose Tattoo). Making Off-Broadway debuts are Charlotte MacLeod, Charlotte Elizabeth Curtis, Margot Weintraub, and Emily Zimmerman.
The Bedwetter is based on Sarah Silverman's bestselling memoir of the same name about Sarah, a funny 10-year-old with a secret that's not so secret if you read the title. The stage adaptation features a book by Drama Desk winner Joshua Harmon and Emmy winner Silverman, with lyrics by Silverman and Emmy winner Adam Schlesinger, who also composed the music.
Lucille Lortel winner Anne Kauffman is set to direct the production with choreography by Byron Easley.
Also on the creative team are Tony winner David Yazbek (The Band's Visit) as creative consultant, Laura Jellinek as scenic designer, Kaye Voice as costume designer, Japhy Weideman as lighting designer, Kai Harada as sound designer, Lucy Mackinnon as projection designer, Henry Aronson as music director, Dean Sharenow as music supervisor and coordinator, Tom Watson as hair and wig designer, and Richard Hodge as production stage manager. Orchestrations are by David Chase, dialect coaching is by Kate Wilson, and casting is by The Telsey Office's Rachel Hoffman.
