Caulfield will play studio boss R.F. Simpson, alongside pop performer Faye Tozer and former "Coronation Street" actress Vicky Binns, who will play the role of starlet Lina Lamont at different touring dates, with James Leece as Don Lockwood, Amy Ellen Richardson as Kathy Selden and Stephane Anelli as Cosmo Brown.

Caulfield is best known to TV audiences as Mark Wylde in ITV’s "Emmerdale," Dr. Jim Brodie in BBC1’s "Casualty" and "Holby City" and Miles Colby in both "Dynasty" and "The Colbys." Film work includes "Grease 2" opposite Michelle Pfeiffer. He has previously appeared onstage in the West End as Billy Flynn in Chicago, which he subsequently reprised on Broadway, and has also been seen in the National Theatre production of An Inspector Calls and The Rocky Horror Show on U.K. tour.

In a press statement, he commented, "I am beyond thrilled to be hitting the road with Singin’ in the Rain. As a huge fan of the original movie, the chance to bring this story to life on stage is something I couldn't pass up and it'll be great visiting some of the beautiful theatres on the tour, some I’ve been to previously, some are going to be a brand new experience for me. Theatre work is a huge passion of mine and having dealt with a few studio bosses in my time too, I relish the opportunity to play RF Simpson in this glorious production."

Tozer, who will play Lina Lamont for the tour dates at Manchester, Cardiff, Sunderland, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Birmingham, is best known as one-fifth of the pop group Steps, who have sold more than 20 million records worldwide and had a run of 14 Top Ten singles. The band reunited in 2012 following a ten-year hiatus. Her musical theatre credits include Tell Me on a Sunday, Me & My Girl and The Tailor Made Man.

Binns, who will play Lina Lamont for the tour dates at Eastbourne, Liverpool, Belfast, Dublin, Plymouth, Milton Keynes, Bristol, Glasgow, Bradford and Southampton, is best known for her role as Molly Dobbs, Tyrone's wife, in ITV’s "Coronation Street," a role she played for five years. Her exit from the soap came during the famous live Tram Crash episode, watched by over 16 million people. Other TV credits include the role of Ollie Reynolds in ITV1’s "Emmerdale," which she played for four years and the forthcoming "The Mill" for Channel 4. Theatre credits include Alfie at the Bolton Octagon and Teechers, Perfect Pitch and A Kind of Loving (all for Hull Truck Theatre Company). This production of Singin' the Rain opened at Chichester Festival Theatre in the summer of 2011, directed by artistic director Jonathan Church. It transferred to the West End's Palace Theatre in February 2012, where it played to over 750,000 people. It is choreographed by Andrew Wright and designed by Simon Higlett, with sound by Matt McKenzie and lighting by Tim Mitchell.

Singin' in the Rain has songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed, with original screenplay and adaptations by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, based on the Metro-Goldwyn Mayer film. It is produced by Stage Entertainment UK in association with Chichester Festival Theatre.
