News Mauricio Pérez and Dominic Scaglione Jr. Now Sharing Lead Role in Jersey Boys Joseph Leo Bwarie departed the Tony-winning musical this past weekend.

Mauricio Pérez and Dominic Scaglione Jr. are now alternating in the role of Frankie Valli in the Tony-winning Best Musical Jersey Boys at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre. Joseph Leo Bwarie played his final performance in the part April 24.

Dominic Scaglione Jr. Joan Marcus
Perez, who has previously appeared on the New York stage in Miss Abigail's Guide… and Altar Boyz, takes on the role of Frankie having previously performed as a swing in the Broadway cast. A veteran of the Broadway cast, Scaglione has also played the role of Frankie in the Chicago and Las Vegas companies.

Having recently celebrated ten years on Broadway, Jersey Boys has been seen by more than 23 million people worldwide. It is currently playing in New York, Las Vegas (the longest-running Broadway musical in Las Vegas history), London and in cities across North America on national tour.

Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.

The Broadway cast also currently stars Richard H. Blake (Tommy Devito), Matt Bogart (Nick Massi) and Quinn VanAntwerp (Bob Gaudio) with Peter Gregusand Mark Lotito, and Candi Boyd, Jared Bradshaw, Cara Cooper, John Edwards, Jon Hacker, Leo Huppert, Rory Max Kaplan, Christopher Messina, Katie O’Toole, Joe Payne, Mauricio Pérez, John Rochette, Jessica Rush, Nathan Scherich and Sara Schmidt.
