The event, which honors gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender elders and the people who are dedicated to improving the lives of older LGBT adults, will also feature a performance from Maureen McGovern (Little Women, Something Wonderful, Nine). Robert Bartley will direct with musical direction by Jeff Harris.
The ceremony will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 PM, followed by dinner and the awards program at 7 PM.
SAGE will honor Lawrence N. Chanen, senior vice president and associate general counsel, JP Morgan Chase; Paula Ettelbrick, attorney and community leader; and Joy Tomchin, partner Vanguard Investors Ltd. & filmmaker. The event chair is attorney John B. Roberts.
Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders is the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. SAGE has pioneered programs and services for the aging LGBT community, provided technical assistance and training to expand opportunities for LGBT older people across the country, and provided a national voice on LGBT aging issues.
