Ruth Stage will bring a revival of Edward Albee's The Zoo Story to Asbury Park's Jersey Shore Arts Center September 4-6. Theo Devaney will direct.
Creative Director Matt de Rogatis (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) will star as Jerry, with three-time Daytime Emmy winner Christian Jules Le Blanc (The Young and the Restless) as Peter.
The Zoo Story was Albee's first play, centered on the tense encounter of two strangers on a Central Park bench. Albee would go on to become a three-time Pulitzer winner and two-time Tony winner, with works including Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, A Delicate Balance, and Three Tall Women.
Ruth Stage's revival will feature lighting design by Christian Specht.
Tickets are at RuthStage.org.
