Nominations for the West Coast component of The Artios Awards, which recognize the artistic contributions of casting directors working in film and television, were announced January 4, according to Deadline.
The Casting Society of America administers the annual awards, which are presented in simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles (film and TV) and New York (theatre). The 2019 Artios Awards will be held January 31.
Theatrical nominations were announced in September.
Bernard Telsey, Tiffany Little Canfield, and Conrad Woolf of Telsey + Company, along with their London associate, Sarah Trevis, were nominated for their work on Mary Poppins Returns (Feature Big Budget—Comedy); while the Lady Gaga-Bradley Cooper remake of A Star Is Born earned a nomination (Feature Big Budget–Drama) for casting directors Mary Vernieu, Lindsay Graham, and Raylin Sabo.
Telsey was also separately nominated for the Julia Roberts film Ben Is Back.
This year’s Artios honorees include actress Laura Dern, who will receive the Lynn Stalmaster Award in Los Angeles; and Mean Girls’ Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond, who will receive the Marion Dougherty New York Apple Award.
