Iconoclastic playwright Edward Albee won the 1975 Pulitzer Prize - his second - for this play that probes the inner depths of a middle-aged couple's marriage as they participate in an unusual encounter on the beach with a unique couple dealing with their same issues. Mark Lamos directs this revival that is being presented at the Booth under the auspices of Lincoln Center Theater.
