Broadway Cats and School of Rock star Mamie Parris will sing the work of Andrew Lloyd Webber in a new cabaret show at The Green Room 42, with performances set for October 19 and November 6. Both performances will also stream live.
Ben Rimalower (Patti Issues) has conceived and is directing the new show, titled Surrender: An Andrew Lloyd Webber Thrill Ride. The evening will include belty audience favorites like "Rainbow High," "Tell Me On a Sunday," and "As If We Never Said Goodbye," along with some deeper cuts like "Chanson d'Enfance" and "Starlight Express."
Parris will be accompanied by music director and arranger Brian J. Nash.
After making her Broadway debut as a swing in the 2007 revival of 110 in the Shade, Parris appeared in The Drowsy Chaperone, Ragtime, and On the Twentieth Century before starring as Grizabella in the 2016 revival of Cats. She was last seen as Rosalie in School of Rock - The Musical.
Both in-person and live stream tickets for Surrender: An Andrew Lloyd Webber Thrill Ride are available at TheGreenRoom42.VenueTix.com.
