On June 3 some of Broadway’s biggest names gathered for A Night of Broadway Stars to support Covenant House International, an organization advocating for and benefiting homeless youth. The event raised over $1.9 million to provide essential services to youth served by Covenant House in 31 cities across six countries.
The gala honored The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star and Covenant House board member Rachel Brosnahan with the Beacon of Hope Award, as well as Jim Burke, a longtime supporter of the Covenant House, and Doug Blagdon, member of Covenant House's Board of Directors, chair of the CH New York Finance Committee.
Held on the stage of Jazz at Lincoln Center, the evening featured performances by CH board members Audra McDonald and Capathia Jenkins, as well as Tony Shalhoub, Erich Bergen, Adrienne Warren, Caitlin Kinnunen, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Laura Osnes, Teal Wicks, Gavin Lee, Michael James Scott, Angela Grovey, Shoshana Bean, members of the cast of Ain’t Too Proud—including Saint Aubyn, E. Clayton Cornelious, Marcus Paul James, Jelani Remy, and Christian Thompson—and Broadway Inspirational Voices.
