The National Theatre production of Tim Price's Nye, which was filmed earlier this year in the Olivier, will stream free of charge on the National's YouTube channel November 7-11.

The streaming of the epic Welsh fantasia about Aneurin “Nye” Bevan, who founded the National Health Service, is part of the "Take Your Seats" initiative, which launched in 2023. The forthcoming free stream will be available with audio description and British Sign Language.

Michael Sheen plays Aneurin "Nye" Bevan in this journey through the life and legacy of the man who transformed Britain’s welfare state and created the NHS. Rufus Norris directs. A co-production between the National and Wales Millennium Centre, the Tim Price drama played the Olivier through May 11 before transferring to the Wales Millennium Centre.

Following the free stream, Nye will join over 80 titles already on National Theatre at Home, which is available to subscribers. The London venue is currently offering a 50% discount on the first two months of a subscription by using the code NYE50.
