News LL COOL J, The O’Jays and Leon Bridges Tapped for the Apollo Gala The annual fundraiser will kick off with Prince's posthumous induction into the Walk of Fame and will feature a star-studded line-up.

The Apollo Theater will celebrate its spring gala June 13, hosted by LL COOL J. The theatre’s biggest annual fundraiser for artistic and education programs will feature performances by the R&B group The O’Jays, Andra Day, Leon Bridges and dancing duo Les Twins.

The same day, iconic artist Prince will be posthumously inducted into the Apollo Walk of Fame. The induction ceremony is set to feature performances by saxophonist Maceo Parker, members of Prince’s band The New Power Generation, Prince’s protégé and singer/musician Andy Allo, R&B singer Meli’sa Morgan and Grammy nominee Raheem DeVaughn. Music legend Prince passed away unexpectedly April 21; previous Walk of Fame inductees include Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones and James Brown.

The gala will also honor VIACOM executive chairman, president and CEO, Philippe Dauman with the Corporate Award for community leadership.
