The second half of the program includes original works by Marsalis and saxophonist Ted Nash; standards by Count Basie, Charles Mingus, and others; and holiday songs.
The tour opens at the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford, Massachusetts, on December 9. It then travels to the Tilles Center in Brookville, New York (December 10), the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia (December 11), and the Eastman Theater in Rochester, New York (December 12).
