SAN DIEGO -- The African-American Council of the San Diego Repertory Theatre will host the Sixth Annual Kuumba Fest Feb. 20-22 at the Lyceum at Horton Plaza. Kuumba Fest '98 is the premiere event celebrating Black History Month in San Diego. The festival takes its name from the Swahili word for creativity.
Highlights of the festival will include traditional African dance, song and drumming, an African marketplace and an African royal court.
