News Kristin Chenoweth Hospitalized Following Injury on the Set of "The Good Wife" Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth was injured July 11 while filming in Brooklyn on the set of the hit drama "The Good Wife," according to published reports.

A piece of scaffolding, knocked loose by strong winds, struck Chenoweth, who fell to the ground.  The actress, according to the New York Post, suffered a brief seizure following the accident and was later fitted with a neck brace and taken to Bellevue Hospital.

A witness told TMZ.com that when Chenoweth fell, she also hit her head on the pavement.

A spokesperson for the New York City Fire Department told the Associated Press that a woman had suffered minor injuries at the Brooklyn location, but he wouldn't identify the person.

Chenoweth is listed in stable condition, according to the Post.

CBS released a statement, which reads: "While filming a scene for 'The Good Wife' in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking actress Kristin Chenoweth... All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery." *

CBS Entertainment announced on June 26 that  Chenoweth ("Pushing Daisies"), who also won a Tony for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (and was nominated for playing Glinda in Wicked), will make her debut in the series with its fourth-season premiere in September.

"Chenoweth will match wits with both Alicia and Peter [played by Chris Noth] in her role as a top-of-her-game political reporter who wants to know more about the Florrick campaign and marriage," according to CBS. The series shoots in New York City.

Chenoweth won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in the series "Pushing Daisies," and has appeared in the comedy "Glee," for which she received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. She is wrapping up the spring leg of her North American concert tour (now to June 29). The concert includes show music, pop songs and numbers from her new album "Some Lessons Learned." "The Good Wife" stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies as lawyer Alicia Florrick. The series was nominated for nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most for a broadcast network series.
