The 18 participating shows include & Juliet, Aladdin, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, The Great Gatsby, Hadestown, Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Hell's Kitchen, John Proctor is the Villain, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, MJ, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, The Outsiders, SIX: The Musical, and Stranger Things: The First Shadow. (The performance date for The Great Gatsby is set for August 20.) Tickets will be available for purchase at a later date.
Kids’ Night on Broadway ticket holders are also invited to come to Duffy Square in Times Square August 19 from 4:30 PM-6:15 PM. Along with the ticket program, Kids' Night on Broadway also includes in-theatre activities (including talkbacks), sing-alongs, activity books, and 18 restaurants in the theatre district and the Museum of Broadway that will offer Kids' Night on Broadway ticket holders with a free kids' meal with the purchase of an adult entrée.
"New
York City is alive during the summer and Kids’ Night creates a unique
opportunity for families to come to Broadway for an evening of fun,”
said Jason Laks, president of The Broadway League, in a statement. “These
18 extraordinary shows offer something for all ages and allow parents,
grandparents, or other family members to introduce younger audiences to
live theatre and nurture their love for the arts."
