Joining Miami native and Grammy Award winner Secada are artists with a connection to South Florida, including Janet Dacal (Wonderland, In the Heights), Henry Gainza (co-founder of District Stage Company), Nina Lafarga ("Smash," In the Heights), Jose Luis Lopez (In the Heights), Tony Award winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story), Eliseo Roman (Leap of Faith), Andy Señor Jr. (Rent), Josh Allen, Martin Bejerano, Aaron Lebos, Michael Piolet and Robert Rosario.

Directed by Heidi Miami Marshall (The Addams Family associate director) with music direction by Tony Award winner Alex Lacamoire (In the Heights), the show is conceived by Señor Jr., artistic director and founder of the District Stage Company.

The evening is described as "a new musical theatre [revue] created to celebrate our community's success in launching outstanding performers' careers. Each artist will showcase a piece that relates to the over arching theme of 'home.' The professional cast will be accompanied by a group of local Miami-Dade County high school theatre students who auditioned to participate in the project as well as by some of Miami's finest working professional musicians."

The "Bring It Home Miami" initiative will continue throughout the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center's season. Other members of the creative team include scenic designer Jim Hammond, lighting designer Eric Fliss, production stage manager Michelle Lavergne and production manager Joyce Fleming.

The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center is located at 10950 SW 211 Street in Cutler Bay, FL. For more information and tickets, call (786) 573-5300 or visit SMDCAC.org.
