Just In Time co-book writer Isaac Oliver will make his London debut with an evening of "sit-down comedy" at The Divine September 11. The performance is being produced by Brooklyn Rep (All the Fraudulent Horse Girls).
Oliver made his Broadway debut last season writing the book for the Bobby Darin biomusical Just In Time with Warren Leight. He has also been a frequent comic performer at NYC venues like Joe's Pub. He released a book, Intimacy Idiot, in 2015, and has written for TV's High Maintenance, Glow, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Étoile.
"Oh my god, am I chuffed to be making my London debut, at somewhere as special as the Divine and with the lovely folks at Brooklyn Rep, at that," says Oliver in a statement. "I've performed all over America but never abroad, in a city I'm obsessed with—I love the theatre, the television, the boiling hot Tube, the boiling hot Richard Ayoade, Ben Whishaw, Will Sharpe. My first book was about being gay and awkward in New York, and I'm hard at work on a second, about being gay and awkward all around the world. I'll be reading new stories I've been writing for that book, several of which took place in London, so this will be very meaningful for me. A dream come true. I hope to see you there."
