Roundabout Theatre Company wraps ups its world-premiere engagement of Joshua Harmon's play Skintight August 26. The production, which stars Tony winner Idina Menzel, began performances May 31 in the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.
In Skintight, Menzel stars as Jodi Isaac, a divorced woman who discovers that her famous father is in a relationship with a much younger, gay adult film actor. The drama, about youth, beauty, sex, and family, is directed by Daniel Aukin.
Menzel has been a part of the development of the play—which was commissioned by Roundabout—since its first reading in early 2015. Completing the cast are Will Brittain, Stephen Carrasco, Eli Gelb, Cynthia Mace, and Jack Wetherall.
The creative team is made up of Lauren Helpern (scenic design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Pat Collins (lighting design), and Eric Shimelonis (original music and sound design).
